By Susan • March 3rd, 2010

Join us on Wednesday, March 3, 7:30pm at Heritage Middle School (20 Foxcroft Drive, Livingston) to hear the featured speaker, Lizzie Simon, on her experience and struggles in dealing with a mental health illness. Lizzie was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she was 17. At 23 years of age she published DETOUR, a collection of interviews with people with bipolar disorder. Experience one meaningful story of discovery and learn important coping skills. Discover the daily rituals that will allow your teen to lead a balance life and engage in a new conversation about the mental health of our teens.

Lizzie Simon is a writer of twenty-five video segments for the website: Web MD and has worked for MTV, where she was a consultant and field producer on a one-hour documentary, True Life: I’m Bipolar. She has been featured on CNN, The Connie Chung Show, The Judith Regan Show and NPR.
