John Halligan Presentation
John Halligan: Cyberbullying, Depression and Suicide
APRIL 12, 2010, 7:30 pm
Heritage Middle School, Media Center
As a follow-up to the highly successful In Real Life presentation by George Street Playhouse last year (December 2009) on Cyberbullying, LYCS and LMAC are proud to present John Halligan’s presentation on Cyberbullying, Depression and Suicide on April 12, 2010, 7:30pm @ Heritage Middle School Media Center. “Ryan’s Story” is the result of the tragic consequence of Cyberbullying. John Halligan’s son, Ryan died by suicide on Oct 7, 2003 after being bullied by classmates at school and online. He was only 13 years of old. Halligan’s presentation will cover the lessons learned too late for his family regarding how to deal with bullying, cyberbulling and teen depression.
John Halligan has devoted his life to making sure that another family does not suffer the fate that befell his own family. For more information about “Ryan’s Story” visit his website: www.ryanpatrickhalligan.org and/or review Tips for Parents.
The April 12 presentation for parents and students (grades 6 and higher) is FREE so please join us in keeping our children safe and protected.
